Carbon Capture - Around 25% of CR LIMEX's weight is made up of CO₂ that has been permanently fixed as calcium carbonate. This supports long-term carbon storage.
Recycled Plastics - CR LIMEX has optional recycled PP binders depending on requirements, helping to reduce waste and promote sustainability further.
Lower Emissions - Compared to using virgin plastics, CR LIMEX can reduce greenhouse gas emissions and petroleum-based plastic use by roughly 34%.
Easy to Use - CR LIMEX is compatible with standard plastic injection moulding equipment. That means plastic injection moulders and injection moulding companies can adopt it without needing new machinery.
CO₂ Industrial Emissions - This represents carbon dioxide being released from factories or industrial facilities. Normally, this CO₂ would go into the atmosphere and contribute to climate change.
Carbon Capture - Instead of releasing it, the CO₂ is captured from these emissions. This is done using special technology that extracts the CO₂ from the air or exhaust gases.
Calcium Carbonate Synthesis from CO₂ - The captured CO₂ is then turned into calcium carbonate – the main ingredient in CR LIMEX. This process chemically locks the carbon into a solid form, reducing its impact on the atmosphere.
CR LIMEX - The end result is a new material: CR LIMEX. It's made partly from the synthesised calcium carbonate and can be used in place of traditional plastics or paper-like materials, with a much lower carbon footprint.
